Mercedes G. Johnson

Mercedes G. Johnson is a co-owner, Managing Member, COO and CFO of RTA Analysis, LLC. She is a financial analyst and trainer in the Investment Program industry and, in 2007, she formed RTA Financial Analysis, LLC, a single-member LLC through which she conducted the business that is continued by RTA Analysis, LLC.

From 1988 through 2006, Ms Johnson was an owner and Executive Vice President of Rose Thomas & Associates, Inc., where she had primary responsibility for sponsor financial analysis, independent verification, and prior performance analysis. Prior to co-founding Rose Thomas & Associates, Ms. Johnson was Due Diligence Manager for Hamilton/Norcap Securities, Inc., where she directed the screening, analysis, review and approval of all investment vehicles.

Before entering the Investment Program industry, Ms. Johnson was Assistant Vice President for Anchor National Life Insurance Company and a key decision maker in purchase and sales recommendations for a $1.2 billion investment portfolio. From 1979 through 1984, Ms Johnson was a Securities Manager for Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company. She analyzed, approved, and monitored private placements for the company's internal investment portfolio and was personally responsible for sizable industry sector funds, specializing in oil and gas, utilities, and financial institutions. Earlier in her career, she was a Commercial Loan Officer for Valley Bank and Trust Company.

Ms Johnson earned her Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Utah with an emphasis in finance and did her undergraduate work at the College of St. Benedict. In 1987, she became a General Securities Representative and General Securities Principal.

Ms Johnson is involved in many industry-related activities and has spoken at various national industry conferences. From 1992 through 2007, Ms Johnson served as an NASD/FINRA Arbitrator, and she served on the IAFP's national Financial Products Advisory Council from 1991 through 1993. She was also named by Investment Advisor Magazine as a member of the Due Diligence All-Star Team.
